For the Senior Design BAE course, I am working with a team to address irrigation water and soil quality challenges at a local park. The current water set up goes from an aquifer to a lake to the irrigation system. The issues that we have been presented are drainage water back-up, non-potable irrigation water, and soil contamination. We have been tasked with either proposing a new water source or determining possible treatment and improvement solutions for the current water system. Our research and design are ongoing.
